Back in 2015, there was this mass support for a Kickstarter campaign for a game call Crowfall. After they reached way above their goal and attained 1.7 million dollars, they quickly went into development, and have been there to date.
Currently they have been allowing for early access with their alpha gameplay and working with the community to make their new MMO a hit. Crowfall is doing an amazing job creating an open-world player-driven game that surely has my attention. Their art style is eye-catching to me, and I’m very interested to see how they continue to improve their “throne war” mmo.
I instantly liked the amount of playable races featured in this game that has fantasy staples like Elves, allows you to try fantasy villains like Minotaurs, and even introduces new ones like the Guinecean’s, a race of humanoid guinea pigs.
The game features I am most excited about is the player economy. If you want an impressive weapon, a player with a high smithing skill has to make it. You can’t just find it. As a fan of the old MMO Star Wars Galaxies and open-world games like Minecraft, it’s exciting to see a game bring back open economies and have an open world with resource gathering and use that’s different than your typical MMO.
Currently, they are still in early-access alpha, but when they reach beta gameplay, I will definitely be giving this game a try. There are many streams in Twitch by both the developers as they work and players alike, so if you’re interested definitely check out Crowfall.
